PLZ help! 3GS 4.1 how to update to 4.21 to change its BB to 6.15 - GSM-Forum

I have a 3GS with firmware 4.1 and baseband 05.15.04 .I want to update its firmware to 4.21 to be able to upgrade its BB to 6.15 and than unlock becuase
whenever I want to change baseband by redsnow with exsiting 4.1 it doesnt change and redsnow stuck on Fetching Baseband.

Whenever we want to restore with 4.21 it doesnt restore and give Error 3194 so please guide me to change its firware to 4.21 or chnage baseband with existing 4.1 firmware to unlock withouth wifi.

It will take some time fetch baseband from apple server(its depend on your internet speed maybe 10-15 mins )

to upgrade to 4.2.1 you must have shsh backup if not update with custom firmware

sometime its doesnt happen so u try 1st cydia ,after cydia coms on

springbroad and then install baseband in redsnow it will update ok.

If u have ssh update ur iphone by costom restore 4.3.3 and update ur bb by redsn0w is very sampel

Sir Im newbie in iphones even I dont know its basics for example what is ssh and how it should or shouldnt be updated or restored becuase I rarely got iphones for unlock .

If I rstore with 4.3.3 wont it give again error 3194 like in restoring with 4.21?

Sir I have tried to restore with (iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a4.2.1Custom_Restore ) but still same can you please tell exactly which custom firware?

Thank you all finally solved and want to share it with other who face this problem.
After many trying to jailbreak and upgrade baseband with 4.1 but it failed and even didnt jailbreak and as I mentioned in 1st post it was not restoring with 4.21 so finally I restored with 4.1 and jailbreaked and upgraded basband with 4.21 using redsnow. Baseband changed to 6.15 but firmware still remain 4.1.
