Guys just getting a bit confused with this unlock on my 3gs. please can somebody tell me if i have to upgrade to version 4.2.1 through itunes before i can unlock bb 05.14.02.

if you have an iphone on 4.1 u only need make a jailbreak n flash the iPad 06.15 baseband with new redsn0w after that instal ultrasn0w 1.2 from cydia...

thanks for reply, but what i,m trying to get at is i've allready jalbroken with limerain some weeks ago and can,t restore to v 4.1 fw because itunes says all data will be lost and fw upgraded to latest fw. so if i upgrade to 4.2.1 can i start from scratch after itunes updates it or do i need some custom fw that people keep going on about?

just used redsnow and used 4.1 fw and all went to plan !!
