Hi All,

I have got it iPhone 4 as a gift from US and its lock on AT&T firmware 4.1 and baseband 1.59, is it possible to unlock it? please help thanks in advance.

yes ,you can unlock it... just jailbrake it and then install ultrasn0w from cydia

Step 3: Go to Cydia and search for UltraSn0w. Download and install UltraSn0w.

if will update the baseband you will not be able to unlock it!!!!!!!!!!!

unlock it with ultrasnow 1-2

Most likely you cannot downgrade!
Download limera1n and jailbreak your phone. Run limera1n and download cydia then install ultrasn0w

you don't need downgrade. jail it with redsn0w (instant jailbreakme.com) sellect 4.1 firmware and install cydia. then unlock with ultrasn0w

why you want to do that??? you will make your work harder...
just jailbreake and unlock your actual sw...

i have tryed to JB and my phone stuck on apple logo..
than i cant able to restore back to 4.1 thats why i have to restore it with 4.2.1 and now i am stuck on emergency mode ...now i a trying to jailbreak with new redsnow 7b1..lets hope everything work fine...

Every one confusing, just go to iclarified.com, see top left corner, you will find jailbreak/unlock, just follow the simple guide, it will ask you few questions based on your iPhone, and will recommend you the best way to jailbreak.
Repeat the same process to unlock.
