Can any body help me to update iphone 4 to 6.1.2 preserve baseband for magic sim bb4.10? I have make "sn0wbreeze_iPhone_4-GSM-6.1.2-10B146" firmware with snowbreeze latest release but could not install on iphone. tips and guidance highly appreciated, thanks best regards, |

Member: 1809562 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 8 | Open sn0wbreeze. At the top left it says iREB. Select run iREB. It may ask you is this is for an Apple TV just select no. Connect your iPhone and follow the instructions. Then close sn0wbreeze and open iTunes. Hold shift and click on restore then select the sn0wbreeze_iPhone_4-GSM-6.1.2-10B146.ipsw file. This will update your iPhone and preserve the baseband |

The OP wants to restore using a custom firmware and to install a custom firmware using iTunes you need the iPhone in Pwned DFU state which iREB allows you to do. You can use redsn0w to do it too but the OP has already stated that they've been using sn0wbreeze therefore I gave the procedure for that application |

use latest version of redsnow 9.15b3 open it go extras>even more> and click restore. select 6.1.2 file and it will ask for preserve baseband click yes. it will automatically send ur phone into recovery mode and start restoring after restore go back and click on select IPSW,select ios 6.0 file and press fix recovery,and proceed as per instruction. u r done. | |
