i want to upgrade my iphone 4 iso 4.0.2 with baseband 01.59.00
shsh saved _____3977****4444-iphone3,1-5.1.shsh____ but keeping my bb to unlock it with ultrasn0w 1.2.5

i'know that jailbreak for iso 5.1 is untethered jailbreak but it's better to be in 4.0.2

connect wifi and open cydia and let it finish it's update
after that tell me which ios version's are written on the top of cydia home screen
as far as you are asking to go on 5.1 so yes it's possible to update to 5.1 with save bb but 5.1 is tethered not untethered

i bet you will have 5.0.1 shsh also in cydia

Dont upgrade now to 5.1, there is no jailbreak untethered for 5.1, and you will need Cydia to unlock your iPhone with ultrasn0w.

Wait for the jailbreak untethered for 5.1, and then you can upgrade.

Yes thats what I would recommend too. Just wait for the untethered jailbreak. Not too far away.

It's a tethered jailbreak, you will need to use redsnow every time when you do restart your iPhone.
