iPhone-Dev team have updated their famous redsn0w jailbreaking tool to version 0.9.10b7. This is a major redsn0w update which brings tons of new features specially for A5 jailbreakers. Yes, Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 now supports iPhone 4S and iPad 2 untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 (Finally!). Remember that iPhone-Dev team released CLi jailbreaking tool CInject to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 but it was difficult for average an Joe to jailbreak using CInject. A lot of people were looking forward to redsn0w update for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak and we have it now.

Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 can also install Corona 5.0.1 Untether if you’ve accidentally uninstalled it from Cydia. Custom IPSW building has also been updated a little, now redsn0w will automatically fetch SHSH blobs of your iOS device from Cydia servers and allow you to stitch them and create custom IPSW.

This definitely a good update for iPhone 3GS users because redsn0w now shows you more details about your iOS device. iPhone 3GS user won’t get confused regarding their bootrom version because redsn0w will tell you whether your iPhone 3GS has an old bootrom or new bootrom. It now shows a lot more info about your device (for instance, whether your iPhone3G has the vulnerable baseband boot loader, or whether your iPhone3GS has the old exploitable bootrom.
