hello,

i have downloaded redsnow and the restore file to unlock and jailbreak my iphone 3g, but when i open the redsnow software it asks to browse to .ipsw file, i can't find that file, from where can i download this file,

please help me understand or guide me.

If you've already downloaded a zipped up file which contains your iphone firmware you will need to rename it.

Change the end of the name from .rar or .zip to .ipsw and you should be good to go.

When you browse with redsn0w now, your file will be visible.

You have to download the firmware of the phone
1) download IPSW(firmware) 4.2.1 and give it in the browse if the software version of your 3g is 4.2.1
