restoring iphone 3g help - GSM-Forum

im trying to restore my 3g iphone cause its stuck at the apple logo. when i log into itunes i click the restore button and it goes threw its process then pops up error3014. which i believe is not connected to itunes how do i go about this.??

what is fw, you are restoring your fone.

Try this
1. download ireb use it to kick phone out of recovery when phone reboots and apple logo comes up immediatly
2.put phone in dfu ... hold the home and power button until the screen goes blank count 2 and release power keep holding home until itunes detects iphone in recovery
3.restore to 4.01

when i downloaded ireb it showed up as driver mender and did nothing when i pluged in the iphone..

very simple dear restore with itunes holding shift key for selecting file.

I bricked my hubby's 3g, it was stuck on recovery and restore was giving me error 1013 though, but anyway wanted to share how i fixed it on my macbook pro.
follow the instructions from this video. YouTube - Stuck in Recovery Mode? Get your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad out of Recovery

I then went and deleted all content apps etc., then changed the usb port where my cable was connected after i read it here, and i restored it on itunes as a new iphone ( look for n1ckn4m3's advice): Help iPhone 3G Stuck in restart - Hackint0sh

And, i left the phone for like 5 minutes without touching it went i thought it didn't work in the end. Came back and it was all good & working. hope this helps
