Rumor: Jailbreak iOS 4.1, 4.2 and above FOREVER using SHAtter

Wondering about what the title is about? Well, let me explain. It is said, a new jailbreaking tool, call SHAtter, will hit our shores and offer us everlasting freedom: a jailbroken iDevice, for life. That means you will be able to jailbreak your iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4 and all iPod Touch devices, without living the fear that Apple will release a better operating system, let’s not say iOS 4.2, but 7.0, to patch an exploit and cancel your jailbreak.

SHAtter is rumored to be the first tool that offers total freedom. The vulnerability that this tool exploits has been discovered by GeoHot and posixninja. The exploitation and payload will be made by pod2g and posixninja. Although few details are available at this moment, I will try to explain how this works: SHAtter is the first exploit in the S5L8930 ( also known as A4 ) chip, currently used in the iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G. This bug will allow unsigned code execution, in order to create a jailbreak for life. What unsigned code execution means?

Well, it refers to the fact that it can be changed. For example, when Apple releases iOS 7.0, SHAtter will issue an update, which will change the code, allowing the new OS to be jailbreaked using only a minor software upgrade.

How real is this? Well, there is a chance for this to happen. Because it relies on a hardware exploit, Apple could only change this if they replace the chip within the device. That would be insane. The only way Apple could strike back, is not to use the A4 chip on future creations. What about those that already own an A4 device ? Jailbreaked for life.

i think its not good in another sence..y??because then apple will not going work on update for the previous iphone..they r going to produce new iphone..dont u think??think about what happened with psp and ps2..lol

we need to exploit hardware fisicaly by tp or something to run over this exploit ?
