As we all know ios 5.1.1 has been rolled out and the new tinyumbrella allows shsh to be saved for 5.1 and 5.1.1 for the iphone 4 and 4s. That is possible until Apple servers keep on signing 5.1.

So if you have a jailbroken phone then simply add the latest I S H S H I T (no spaces...cause forums automatically censors words like that &#128541

- I have added screenshots for you.
save shsh first then ask questions.
- You can save a backup copy by email to yourself.
- All previous versions can also be saved when you select via cydia.
- Make Sure you open app after install and then select all versions and then deselect via cydia.

Good luck! the smart ones will do as told and take benefit.

Yes GsM_Yousuf. If your device is not jailbroken then you don`t have cydia.

So best way to use Tinyumbrella itself. I recommend both methods are used on a jailbroken iPhone/iPad/Ipod etc.

BUT PLEASE everyone save it NOW or then we`ll have other threads asking how to upgrade/downgrade without shsh blobs.

and for those who didnt. IF YOU READ THE THREAD, YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST FOLLOWED WHAT WAS POSTED. Anyways 5.1.1 still available.

No jailbreak for 4s.

Pre-requisite is that device must be jailbroken

For 4s on 5.1 or 5.1.1 USE Tinyumbrella or Redsnow latest version to save blobs for 5.1.1 as 5.1 not being signed - closed approx 6 hours ago

SEARCH the forums for Tinyumbrella and Redsn0w links. You will find many.

you can use tinyumbrella to save SHSH...

then you can then use redsn0w to submit those saved SHSH to cydia...

Thats a good answer and heres the files for it.

TINYUMBRELLA 5.11.00b (WINDOWS)
TINYUMBRELLA 5.11.00b (MAC/OSX)

Hope you can simply do it now on your laptop/pc for unjailbroken devices.

For TinyUmbrella
1- in Tinyumbrella connect device.
2- Select Device
3- In Advanced Tab> uncheck Request SHSH from Cydia
4- Then back on General Tab > Simply click on SAVE SHSH in top right corner.
5- Then perform go to Advacned Tab> Check Request SHSH from Cydia
6- Then back on General Tab > Simply click on SAVE SHSH in top right corner.

Now you will have your cydia saved SHSH and brand new SHSH from Apple (which will only be 5.1.1 as at May 15, 2012 since no more 5.1 )
