Skype video on 3.1.3 - GSM-Forum

I know its too soon for this but it looks like you can only use the new slype video feature on os 4.0 and above. Anyone figure out a way to use the video chat on 3.1.3 or lower? Many of us who havent upgraded to the 4 and above will be in the same boat. Waiting for a solution for this, keep us updated. Many thanks.

Can I upgrade my firmware without loosing my apps music or email settings to be able to use skype video? I have a 3gs with 3.1.3.

Tried that fake firmware upgrade and the phone wouldnt boot after, luckily I saved all the pics and movies and had saved my contacts list before messing around. I installed 4.0 and now I have skype video, I actually enjoed the 3.1.3 firmware better as this looks like a memory hog and leaves apps running all the time and doesnt work well with backgrounder. Hope someone figures out a way to use skype on 3.1.3 as I still would like to downgrade again. Either way dont try to the fake firmware update it won twork and might ruin your os.
