Steve Jobs Says Third Party AirPlay Support is Coming in 2011 This entry needs translation. To help us and submit a translation please click here Steve Jobs says AirPlay support for third party apps and Safari is likely coming in 2011. This comes via a response to an email from a MacRumors forum member ----- Hi, I recently updated both my iPhone 4 and iPad to 4.2. I think my favourite feature is airplay. This is seriously amazing and makes sharing content seamless. I just purchased Apple TV and was wondering are you ever going to make airplay video work for videos in safari and 3rd party apps? I hope to get a response. ![]() ----- Yep, hope to add these features to Airplay in 2011. Sent from my iPhone ----- For those jailbreakers who can't wait for Apple to enable this feature you can install AirVideoEnabler from Cydia. Read More ![]() Br. XCachorrOX

You and all of us (including HTC (How to Copy) and all copy companies) should thank such a visionary man and not say so. If it were not for this guy touch screens as they are now would be still in Star Trek and the tablets market completely dead. *** bless Steve Jobs!

Actually I would like to stream videos via Airplay, make airplay video work for videos in safari and 3rd party apps, not do any benefit for users, I think when this come true, maybe folks can gain some conveniency, as airplay video work for videos in safari not so bad~ but in 3rd party apps, then why not just use the 3rd party apps to do video converting or streaming directly, there are many as I know, such as iFunia Free youtube downloader and video converter.
