How will work if you don't have an original carrier sim to which the iphone is locked to? Upgrading using custom firmware is interresting because the baseband does'nt get updated so the gevey unlock will work if only it supports the baseband!
It's the same using custom hactivated sn0wbreeze firmware!

hi everybody, I updated iphone 4 4.1 to 5.1.1 using snowbreeze preserve baseband, all is ok with gevey sim exept that I can't connect with 3g, and I have just one barre of network, please any solution?

i just mention 1 more tricks.......use gevey aio for activation if u have not og sim to activate

bro custom firmware never change the bb u can activ ur iphone by custom firmware. no need ony sim . u can activ with out itune,,,,,,

Just install Ultrasnow . (i know you unlock your iphone with Gevey , but the ultrasn0w fix the signals bars BUG )
