TIP & TRICK to make ipgone 3G faster like 3GS

Thanks to the last IPSW 4.2.1 for 3g to had this takt for frequanses to let iphone 3g become faster like 3gs. tested 100% work.

you need first your 3G jailbreaked and download Winscp v 4.3.1 beta then install and run it

conect your 3G with wifi and put the IP in winscp, user name su passwort alpine like this photo



now go to /private/etc and with doupple click open the file "" fstab ""

add from the top of it

su
alpine <–your password
sysctl -w hw.cpufrequency_max=550000000 max. frequens 600Mhz (not good value)
sysctl -w hw.cpufrequency=550000000 this optimal value
sysctl -w hw.cpufrequency_min=432000000 this frequancey will be used whtn battery become less than 20%
/dev/disk0s1 / hfs rw 0 1
/dev/disk0s2 /private/var hfs rw 0 2

dont write the red color words

now just save and close the editor of fstab

now you need to download com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist and copy it to /system/library/LaunchDaemons

Done, reboot your 3G now and enjoy speed of 3GS

tested and worked 100% so dont forget press thankyou.

this is the save and more best result than install ioverclock via cydia, and it had no side effect, think about when you trick your winxp for example, to increase speed or download, always will be with Reg. this is Reg to IPSW 4.2.1 , try it and you will feel it how fast yours 3G will be.

Notice, over the first photo i had wrote username su, it is wrong typing,, the correct always root with winscp.

Can't we use iPhone Folders to modify these files without wifi use ???

i m using this method on one of the 3G and its working so perfect that i can't tell u i think its speed is performing like the firmware version of 3.1.3 so its really nice to use that method on any of the set that is 4.2.1 so we can install some applications .on old 3G model phone

Yes, I had tested it on mine and currently applied to my 3G 8GB and definitely the battery goes quicker, especially when using applications. On standby I notice no difference.

Just to answer your question re Apple above also. I think they never applied this for a few reasons. Like everything if you increase speed (overclock) as this trick does you lose battery life quicker and maybe the phones life is decreased in the long run....maybe its simply not tested and not good to runa processor at maximum speed? Who knows ? Cannot fully confirm this and personally don't really care (as 3g is quite an old phone anyway). Merely speculation and just my opinion, but I hope you get my point.

Can you tell me when Apple Team until now give complete IPSW with out bucks ??
if you want to relay on them, then ask them why 3G untill IPSW 4.2.1 the camere had no video record ?

the high nose of Apple are going down day by day, and they start to learn from bastlers to solve their problem.. and the example allot.

Microsoft was before same as Apple, but they give up and start to follow bastlers posts to solve most commen MS system...
