iPhone 3GS unknown error (21) while restoring

I have an iPhone 3GS and I am trying to upgrade to iOS 4.3.2 but it keeps giving me errors (21). I also tried using a custom firmware of 4.3.2 but that gave me the same errors (21). What can I do? help me out?

To fix iTunes error 21, you must put your iDevice into DFU mode using the following instructions:

Connect your iDevice to your PC or Mac via USB cable and launch iTunes.
Hold down the Home+Power button for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, release the Power button but keep holding the Home button until iTunes detect your iPhone in recovery mode.
Once your iDevice is in DFU mode, you should see nothing on its screen. It should be completely blank.

It's usually hardware damage and goes along with error 9. If you can get past the error, the iPhone will either freeze on waiting for iPhone or shut off. Try with another computer to make sure it's not PC-related.
