Unlock any iphone 3GS/3G? - GSM-Forum

Hi, I appologies if this is a stupid questions ( I have a few), as I have not kept myself updated to apple software stuff.

1. I went to a shop and guy said I can jailbreak/unlock any Iphone 3G/3GS, How is that possible I mean what software does he use for jailbreak?

2. How do you change the baseband on any iphone 3gs/3g?

3. As I took a iphone 3GS to the guy with 4.3 on it but cant remember baseband
he gave me it back with 4.1 and 6.15.00 baseband? How did he do this.

That BaseBand in unlockable maybe the one you had wasn't unlockable after jailbraking. Its possible to Downgrade.

Thanks for the reply, what is the method to downgrade even if you dont have shshs blogs saved. ( i think thats whats it called).

you can not downgrade baseband, you are stuck with baseband 6.15 and you probably do not have gps functions. the only way you could upgrade your os is by ******* firmware (4.1 4.2 4.3). ultrasnow is used to unlock baseband 6.15
