Unlocked Iphone after restoring to original can still accept all sim card - GSM-Forum

i jail breaked my iphone 4 then unlocked it and patched it as advised so that it can accept all sim cards and dont have the message displayed'new sim detected.connect to itunes'...and it worked great i must say..thanks to all who had given step by step guide..so i was using a different carrier sim now...everything is working fine except the battery life seemed somewhat less than my iphone when it was locked....

so today i thought of doing a itune original restore and thought i will jailbreak,unlock and patch again..maybe the battery life improves...

so thats what i did...but i used the diff sim card i was using after i unlocked my iphone..actually i forgot to put the original sim and restore...and to my surprise my phone was restored to original and activated wth the other simcard...i was expecting that the emergency screen will show up and then hav to put my original sim to get past it...but no its working wth it...

so how is this possible?or is it possible?

An update...it can except only the original locked simcard and the simcard i was using after i unlocked my iphone previously...any other simcard displays the itunes connect display...well i am not sure why this is happening but yes its happening though....is it because i restored with the simcard of the other carrier?i am not sure....
