this error comes sometimes by the server problem
reboot your device wth sim card and wait,100% it wil ok.

I'am having the same problem with iPhone 2G on fw 3.1.3. Activated it with onesim, jailbreaked with Spirit, but when I put another sim card, the phone goes back to the "connect to iTunes to activate" screen.
Is there a way to get around this?

My iphone 2g for some reason refuses to boot into dfu mode (I don't know why, tried everything, but had no luck at all), so I cannot use redsnow.
But thanks anyway.

Tried that also, but itunes isn't flashing it when the phone is in restore mode, and I cannot enter dfu mode.

I had managed to solve my problem. When I jailbreaked with spirit, i could downgrade to 3.1.2, and then I used blackrain, and bootneuter, and the iphone 2g is now fully hactivated, jailbroken, and sim unlocked. Thanks to all, who were trying to help.

brother if u have 2g or 3g then upgrade 4.0.1 verson and jailbrake with redsn0w 0.95 phone automaticly activated but if u have 3gs after jailbrake open cydia add source (cydia.pushfix.info) and openn hackactivation and install problem 10000% solve?
