Member: 1361021 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 24 | changing chips in the iphone is no easy task, it requires specialized soldering tools, consumables and a very experienced BGA technician but the hardware theory is sound, it worked before, when unlocking iphones took gevey sims and ultrasn0w, but for the majority, hardware chip swapping was the only solution |

Check out this video on how it is done, heat the IC's thoroughly to insure you don't get lifted pads from the logic board, clean and reball the replacement IC's and use the proper flux, I would recommend using the leaded solder instead of lead free, it has a lower melting point.
