Ive restored and still nothing even if I boot tethered via redsn0w the pineapple logo comes up and stays there what could it be??

It's a 3G 8gb model does it make a difference?

Would a bad LCD cause it to not boot past the apple logo? I suspected it and when I was messing around with it it burnt out (white screened)
