Working solution for spirit JB over blackra1n... all those who did this and are stuck - GSM-Forum

Thanks to all those who helped and gave me instructions. i just compiled and filled in the missing blanks. This is specially for those users who do not have an original sim card to activate.

- IPHONE 3gs
- only for BB 5.11.07
- only if u havent restored to stock 3.1.3, cuz in that case u ll be stuck with bb 5.12.07, no jailbreak yet

heres the procedure.

1. download custom ipsw from http://rapidshare.com/users/RZF0EV

2. use itunes to restore from this file 'SHIFT+Click' method
3. U ll get error 6
4. Use irecovery to get past the subsequent recovery mode
5. use blackra1n to jailbreak. I had to try it twice.
6. Install cydia, insert any sim
7. Use blacksn0w RC2 to unlock from cydia....

works perfectly. had to blackra1n twice too. dont forget not to snow from blackra1n after jailbreak. u have to use the new version of blacksnow from cydia or follow this post http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f456...1-07-a-958658/. Thanks to all who helped.......
