Hi,

Is www.jailbreakme.come for my iPhone?

I am from India. Got my iPhone 3gs couple of weeks back, when i received the iPhone it was running on 4. The iPhone has never been jailbroken so no SHSH saved. Whenvere i start my iPhone it goes into emergency mode, if i connect to itune it asks me to insert SIM. Now the question is:

Can i connect my iphone to internet (through wifi, computer USB) to connect to jailbreakme.com and jailbreak the iPhone or i will have to wait further for an application to be released like (redsn0w or blackra1n). any help in this will be greatly appreciated.

Also when ever i start my iPhone, it takes me to emergency screen, i searched on internet for solution and i assume it requires my iPhone to "Activated" for which i will require "Phonebook SIM card", can anybody guide me where i can get "Phonebook SIM card" in Gujarat or India.

I have been waiting for the solution since long. My iPhone is a dead brick right now :-(

FYI the website is JailbreakMe

and as you have been told you need an iphone activation simcard

which is cheap and can make your iphone activated

then following this thread you can jailbreak it and later unlock it

The problem is that the phonebook SIM card is not available where i stay (Gujarat)

Any help in this will be much appreciated.

ok
do you have a universal sim ?

you do remember universal sim ?

you can program it to act like iphone activation simcard .

and this should do the trick

since you are new in here you can use search to find out about universal sim and also to hit thanks button when you want to say thank you
