Member: 990844 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Probably I didn't read old related posts, sorry (no much time...) Anyway, I found how to do it. Should anyone need it...: 1. look on google for "PC-Sync Manager", "MT6227" and "MT6227 usb com driver" (MT6227 is another china handy and PC-Sync is made for it, but it works fine w. the m888a as well ) 2. unzip the driver in a folder, i.e. on the desktop 3. connect the telephone via usb cable. You have to choose the "com" option on the handy display. When asked for new hardware driver, browse to the above folder and choose your O.S. (XP, 2k, 98). It will be installed on a certain com port (write down the number) 4. Install PC Sync and go to settings: choose the above com port number Have fun |

Member: 999345 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thanks for your post. Works great. Did you update the phone firmware using pc-sync? if son, how did you do it? I have some issues in the current firmware (can't lock the screen, can't unlock if I get SMS and so) so I hope to get newer firmware to fix the issues. If you have any succes, please let me know. Thanks. |

Member: 990844 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thank you MadOnionDK Unfortunately you can't manage the firmware updating with PC Sync. Or that's what I understood 'til now, reading on this forum and some others. I asked but did not get any answer. It just takes to read old posts and faq's I didn't have the time, yet. What I think, for now, is that you need a special home-modified usb-com cable and another program. Shouldn't be difficult... Browse on this forum Bye |
