Member: 1215296 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Help! Phone MAC address NOT available!!! I've got this phone and it used to work fine for a couple of weeks. Then, all of a sudden, it started to switch itself off, here's a video: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.29240 So, a guy that repairs such phones flashed it...actually, several times...now the phone works, i.e. the previous problem was resolved, but can't use the wlan now... After the flash, the phone lost its MAC address!!! When I open the "WLAN status", it says "Phone MAC address: Not available" and only zeros are shown. Once I enable the WLAN, and try to search for networks, the phone restarts itself. Anyone with the same problem? Any tips how to resolve it? |

So - "if MAC address is 00.00.00.00.00 it may be hardware problem (phone can not read MAC address from WiFi module well)." - I shall presume the WLAN dead forever? Is there a spare part that could be replaced? Or other flashes? How about "try to make "safe" format also." ? Хайде, адаш, съживи го! | |
