Member: 939384 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Can't install Java games anymore, factory reset not working i have an iphone clone named I9+ and i have the same problem that some forum users at i9forum.co.uk have reported, which is Java apps/games not installing anymore. The I9+ is able to install java games but it has a bug that happens after installing a random number of java games, it just stops any new java installation at 52% and does a soft reset back to the "slide right to unlock" menu. A solution was found for this error which consists in resetting your phone back to factory settings, it's suposed to erase all your java instalations and fix the java install error, making u able to install java stuff again. This bug just happened to me right now but it's much worse in my case cause the factory reset trick doesn't work for me! What i tried already: Resetting phone to factory settings does not work for me, i've done it several times, i've also tried using a diferent sim card on both sim1 and sim2 slots, i've tried removing the sd memory card, i've tried putting a real small java game called checkers.jar (30kbs) on the phone internal memory and installing from there, i've tried removing one or two of the games that i had installed, and nothing seems to work... everytime i try to install a java file when it gets to 52% on the install bar, it does a soft reset which takes me back to the "slide right to unlock phone" screen. After this happened i've also tried changing all Java settings on the java menu, and changed all java related settings on engineering mode too, nothing fixes it. Does anyone know a solution to fix this without having to flash firmware into the phone? And can anyone point me to a working I9+ firmware download link, and also to some webpage/forum where someone has sucessfully flashed an I9+ with firmware? I'll be most gratefull for any help you can give me on this, thanks in advance! |

Member: 952958 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | How did you install Java apps in the first place? The i9 I have has the "java" icon on the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Do I just copy the JAR file into a directory on the memory card using the USB cable? Or is it something else? In my fiddling around, I couldn't see how it's done. Your question worries me slightly: I hope that my i9 does NOT screw up like yours. |
