my brother purchased china phone from thailand his imei valid in thailand but i cant use any sim of india. but i use vodafone sim its work work but no other sim works in it can any one tell me whats the problem, and how to solve it because i have to use that set in india.

Does it shows invalid sim?????? If yes then writing a new imei will solve your problem.............

But remember it is ILLEGAL in INDIA

Bro IMEI implant is ILLEGAL in INDIA. Most of the chinese handsets in india contain invalid imei number.Last year, Govt has tried to start GII programme to make these phones legal......... bt unfortunately that programme stopped.

In short In INDIA, IMEI changing for any phone is illegal.
