Hi EwoKiE.
you did not say what program you are using but since you got it delivered with 'the cable' and this error E2 looks somewhat familar i think you are using DORA and want to install Javquisoft firmware.
If that is so you might want to go to the Javquisoft forum.

but i can tell you now that i dont belive you will be able to upgrade to Javquisoft firmware because i think your Build Time is not on the supported list.

To make a Backup i reccoment MTK flashtool. you can find it here on the forum.

let me quote a short walkthrough:
Quote:
in this Program 'Download' means WRITE TO THE PHONE!
When it starts go to the 'Read Back' tab to make a backup of your current firmware. (i strongly suggest to do so, even if it takes an hour)

Making a Backup
:
select from 'Options' -> 'Baudrate = 115200' (when i do this faster i get read errors)
select from 'COM port' -> your flashcable COM port
Double klick the text line ('N/A') and select where you want to save your current firmware. (after it is saved burn it to a CD please!)

adresses for a normal i68+ (i9+) is 0x00000000 to 0x02000000
i68+ 3g could be 0x04000000

OK, your phone is powered off. just before you removed the battery and put it in again.
plug the cable into the phone
klick the 'Read back' button
press the Power Button on your phone and hold it until you see a bar at the bottom of the window. (the phone does not switch on)
as soon as you see the bar you can release the button and let the program do its deed.

writing a firmware:
go to the 'Download' tab
Klick the 'Downlad Agent' button and select "MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin"
Klick the 'Scatter-koading' button and select "scat.txt"
no 'Auth File' is needed.
you can pump up the Baudrate to the maximum (takes only 10 minutes for me to flash a firmware but 60 minutes to read it)
double klick on the 'ROM' line and select the firmware you want to flash to the phone.

...your phone is powered off. you just before took out the battery...
plug the cable into the phone
Klick the 'Download' button
press the Power Button of your phone and hold it until you see a bar at the bottom of the window.
as soon as you see the bar you can release the button and let the program .

if you have questions ask them before you do something experimantal.
A lost firmware is hard to find again.
