instructions on how to flash flying f602 / a602 (even recover a brick)

here are instructions and file links for f602 / a602 flashing

we will flash the phone while it is switched off and with the usb cable that comes with the phone

its best to use Google chrome to download files as some files are on non English pages that Google chrome will translate for you to make it easier to download the files

please note these drivers are different to the normal mtk drivers that you use to root the phone these drivers are for using the phone in offline mode while it is switched off which is how we need it for this method of flashing

it dont matter what firmware was on your phone before this one will work its version 2.3.1

here are the steps on how to flash the phone with the firmware and software provided in the links above based on windows 7 pc
1.turn off the phone and make shure your battery has at least 50% charge (mine had 28% but i was pushing my luck the more charge the better)
2.on your pc go to control panel-hardware and sound and then click on device manager
3.now plug the phone into the pc while switched off and on the device manager right click on your phone and select upgrade drivers (it will show up as an unknown device and you have to be quick because it only shows up for 10seconds but dont worry once you started installing drivers it dont matter that its disappeared from the device list) and install the drivers that you have just downloaded
4.once the drivers are installed unplug the usb cable from the phone and reinsert it as you do this look to the bottom right of your screen it should say driver installed successfully and say com?? make a note of the com number as you need this (?? = number)
5.remove the cable usb cable again and in the flash tools folder look for a file called flash tool its a configuration file. open this file and about 2 thirds down you will see a line that says COM=??. change the ?? to your com port number that you have just wrote down
10. open flash tools and click scatter loading and go to the file MT6516_Android_scatter.txt and open it which is in the folder with the firmware
11.now in the bottm box you will see the list of things to be flashed to the phone, un-tick the one that says PRELOADER.
12. with the phones usb unplugged click on the download button at the top. in the bottom right corner there will be a count down timer when this gets to 5 seconds plug the usb into the phone and watch it flash

if done correctly your phone will now boot and load perfect

PLEASE NOTE!!!
when you fist switch on phone it will hang on the android start up screen for between 5-10mins. this is normal with a new flash as the system has to create its cache files

there you go you now have a fresh flashed phone all done with the phone turned off enjoy :-)
