On my F003 i have the option to change to a mp3... So maybe u got one with old firmware or a Lixin F003... i have the fly-ying...

To Change the SMS tone, Do the Following:

1. Copy songs to the "My Music" folder the phone first. Then go to "Audio Player"

2. Touch the Icon on the top-right of the audio player (looks like 3 lines)

3. You'll see a list of your songs. Choose a song and touch "Options".

4. Then touch "Add to Ringtones". Then Press the button at the bottom of the phone to go back to the icons.

5. Touch the "User Profile" Icon.

6. Touch "General".

7. Touch "Customize".

8. Touch "Tone Setup".

9. Touch "SIM1 Message".

10. Now you'll see a list of MIDI tones. Scroll down to the end of the list. You'll see the song you just added in the list now. Choose the song and touch "Set as SMS tone".

11. Now when you receive a text message, that song will play.

SMS RINGTONE SETUP ARE NOT AVALAIVLE ON F003 WITHOUT SOME FIRMWARE UPDATE AS I COCLUDED..
EVERYBODY WRITES GO TO : USER PROFILES>GENERAL>TONE SETUP>SMS TONE>THEN CHOOSE ONE EMPTY SPOT AND INSERT A MP3> OR YOU ADD IT TO A RINGTONE FORM AUDIO PLAYER AND SO SO.......BUT THERE ARE NO AVALAIBLE EMPTY SPOTS ON F003,OR SOME OTHER SOUND DOES NOT APEARS ON THE LIST............ IN MY FIRMWARE...MY FIRMWARE IS DIFFRENT THAT YOUR A LITTLE BIT,YOUR IS PROBABLY:
