Smile MT6235 Phone Taken Apart

Hi Everyone. My first post.

First allow me to say what an honor it is to be a member of this forum.

I've been following the Chinese phone postings now for about 4 months. You guys are ********! (******** = Incredible, for those whose first language is not English)

I was content lurking, but recently I've run into a slight problem.

My MT6235 phone has weak signal reception. I heard a rumor that if you solder tin foil to the antenna (it's supposedly using a patch antenna), you can significantly boost reception.

So I opened my M001 phone (it's sold under various names), but *********** also sells it as the CVDQ-M56 Odyssey phone.

...but I'm not sure which component is the antenna.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
