MTK 228 weak singal - GSM-Forum

I have a MTK 228, i am with rogers the problem i have is i always get a weak singal or no service just wondering what the issue could be or how i can slove it?

Yea man.. unfortunately that seems to be just how the 228 is.. i live in Florida and my service provid3r is T-MOBILE.. and the signal isnt the greatest either. I dont mind *** phone but it really would help if the additional programs actually worked.

first problem
1. are you able to send or recieve pic messages?- i cant.. and tmobile doesnt seem to be able to help because they have never heard of the phone SUX.

2. Are you able to ad movies to your phone?- i cant.. it doesnt recognize ANY format.

3. Does ur fm radio player work?-- mine doesnt.

let me kno if you have been able to solve any of these issues man.. would b greatly appreciated.

radio works but now my screen is gone

Ya uhh have you guys check on the T-mobile website
they show you how good coverage is in your area street by street

I check in my area before buying this phone and its kinda bad but good enough

and for the videos you have to use Super video converter and make it a 3gp(Nokia/NEC/Siemens) with the codec as H.263 and the audio codec as either one of the AMR ones
