Sigmatel S5/T96 Multitap ABC - GSM-Forum

Hi all. My son just gifted me my first cell phone today. He has the exact same one. On the box it says Sigmatel S5, but on the phone it says Sigmatel T96. I looked online, and they both seem the same. My question is, when I try to write a text message, there is no option for "smart ABC", only "multitap ABC". But his phone has that option! I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this as I'm very new to Chinese phones. Also, can someone tell me how I can quick lock the keypad? Thanks everyone.

For anyone that's interested, for quick keypad lock, just press the right soft-touch key and #. Still no solution for figuring out how to get 'smart ABC'. Anyone? Thx.

Try to change flex cabel.
