Can't unlock Huawei E169 - GSM-Forum

I tried to unlock a Huawei E169 locked to VirginMobile Australia, but failed. Selected E62x, then Port 10 (3G Application Interface), it showed "timed out". when selected Port 11 (3G PC UI Interface), it showed "unable to open com port, win error code: 170".

Please help!

I look on system/modems/huawei/propertys/modem and see port 9

then I put port 9 on huawei data card unlocker, but I only get

Working...
Time out
End.

i try many times with my E169 always "Time Out"

Confirmed today - on one pc was getting same error.
I have contacted the programmer for this, so let him now do the work

I tried on 2 computers

Both of them have xp sp3

People who success could inform about their so, and people who don't success, it maybe will help the programer

need proper fix for this softwaretrie e220 and e169 same error wrong imei model ok wrong model both modems ive put generic soft on but still same tried on 2 pcs modem is not online.

But the program doesn´t work with the E172

I am getting an error saying "Protection card not found" when I open the app.

I am using the E169g

so close, but so far away.

Any ideas?

I am running Vista (figured this may play a part in my issue)
