Tornado Sim not working: Nokia 6500 Slide 6.60 SW - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I had updated my nokia 6500s to 6.60 SW but yet my tornado sim does not work. "Phone restricted" What can I do ???? With the old SW the tornadosim has work.

Hmm... interesting. Have you tried setting the tornado sim to use the MNC+MCC of the original operator?

Yeah, first time have heard that after updating SW version of Nokia Phones, It wont work with Tornado sim anymore.... weird....or Nokia knows about this *** sims already....

I can confirm this problem,had it on some 5310,but i don´t remember sw versions.

Yes but It does not work. Anybody have a solution ?

To solve problem with losin network after time on 5310 and 6500S need to downgrade to 3.xx version. By the way 3.30, 3.80.

IT CAN"T WORK with 6500s firmware 6.60, will lose network after some time. You must downgrade the phone version to 4.84.
