Hello,

I tried unlocking a sony ericsson w580i went through half of the process and couldnt connect the phone, could finish the process off or get the phone to power on, phone only connects on recovery mode apart from that phone doesnt seem to power on,

can anyone help me get the cid 49 brown file so i could get the phone back to the way it was?

it would be really grateful if anyone could help me get the file if not try solving the problem

To unlock a DB2020 phone (like W580 ) just use th reset procedure and all the files u need are in the setool folder .

managed to get the phone back to life again but saying insert correct sim card each time i try the original sim card, what would be the next step to resolve this problem?

tried flashing it on se tool and sony ericsson updater but not resolved the problem

Its very simple to unlock it :

1-Go to (Empty file & repair) TAB
2-Select W580
3-Go to Settings and check (Signed mode)
4-Back to (Empty file & repair)
5-Click on Recovery
6-Press and hold 2+5 and Insert USB cable

After it finished :

1-Click on Add and go to setool folder-->Eroms-->DB2020
2-Choose a Erom with the same CID as the flash cid of your phone
example : If flash cid of your phone is 53 choose :
DB2020EROM_CNV_RED53_BROWN_CID49_DB2020.ssw
3-Press flash

Wait it finish and Voila ur phone is Unlocked
