In order to connect with phone you should:
1. Install HTC ADB drivers
2. Turn on the phone
3. Enable Debug mode in phone (Settings->Applications->USB Debug)
4. Check your Internet connection
5. Plug standard microUSB Cable

i hve same problem with stok rom i hve sprint phone
i did flash with Stock Rooted 3.04.651.2 De-Odexed after that hboot version not supported

Its happening on HTC BUtterfly HBOOT 1.55
