How to Update? Instructions and FAQ

Before you Update:

Install the cable drivers if not installed from your CD or here.
Install .Net package. or direcly updage your clip if .Net pakage is installed
It will be installed automatically.
www.smart-sam.net ---> Update ---> Run to install autmatically.
Or Download and Install Manually from here.
After MS .Net packet is installed, program might give an error opening the updateUtility
Just press close and restart your pc



Now you are ready to update:

- Connect usb cable. You should know on which port it is installed
- Click Run and wait for the program to launch.
- Choose the desired comport and now Connect your clip.
- Wait until the clip is updated successfully.



FAQ:

Where can I get download the cable drivers?

I still have problem on launching the program, .Net can't be installed.
Go Microsoft page and download and install it manually.

The UpdateUtility can't detect my Clip, what now?
- You might have choosen the wrong port, go to device manager and see under which port the prolific usb-serial is installed.
- Your cable might be damaged. Replace it or contact your reseller.

The UpdateUtility reads my clip, but it can't update: "Target Not responding"
- Try again
- Try another USB port
- Try a diffrent pc
- make the cable shorter (between the RJ45 and usb-serial emaulator)

The UpdateUtility says: " No Update Available"
- Your clip is up to date.
- IF you still have some problems, contact one of supporters to help you further.
