How to Unlock new QUALCOM (3G ) Samsung models - GSM-Forum

This is short manual for new 3G Samsung phones (U900, U800, F480, U700 etc)

In order to unlock it, do the following steps:

Power on the phone and activate "QUALCOM" USB Mode - type *#782872# and confirm.
Connect phone to PC USB port with USB cable
Make sure to install QUALCOM drivers ! ! ! (Support/Drivers/Samsung/Qualcom_driver.rar)
Start Samsung Rocker and select Your model
Com port selection is done automaticaly, You DO NOT NEED to select port
Check "Unlock" and click "Do Job"
Thats it

If everything is done well, You should have following log in Samsung Rocker :

Samsung Rocker v1.21Beta

Loaded 456 models

Available COM ports: COM1, COM3, COM17, COM29

Doing Job, Please Wait
Using \\.\COM30 port

Modell: SGH-U900
MSLAddress: R6VQ488053
IMEI: 352442-02-184326-1
Calculating... OK
MSL2 Code: PASSED
MSL2 Password: PASSED
Closed \\.\COM30 port
Using \\.\COM15 port
Unlocking... OK
Unlock & Unfreeze: DONE
Closed \\.\COM15 port
Using \\.\COM30 port
Resetting Phone

Closed \\.\COM30 port

To exit QUALCOM mode, type *#726872# via keyboard.

hi sir i cant put the fone on that mode bec when i start the fone itsasking for the fone password pls help me with that thanx

Download v1.23 from support. Unlock it once in cdma mode and reboot phone, user lock should be removed, so You can enter qualcom mode afterwards.

People who only have the Dongle and need unlock a phone with combo cable can use prolific adapter or need ftdi interface to unlock the phone?

You can unlock phones only with USB cable, just need to repeat process twice.

or something like this occuring every time. Even if imei and msl read correctly - error on MSL2. Tried U700 - things are the same. What am I doing wrong?

If You use usb data cable, You must enter QUALCOM mode first. As it said in manual.

Everything was done as you said in 1st post. I tried even generic ZTE modem drivers - nothing changed.
