How to get the correct shipped rom for your htc

Is your device stuck in a state you must flash an official stock rom but dont know where your phone came from? do this and you can get out of this problem.


download fastboot from here if you dont already have

I extracted my fastboot and placed in a folder named android\tools in drive c:

so anytime i need to use fastboot, all i need it to open cmd and type


cd c:\android\tools








then press and hold volume down and power to enter fastboot mode

then run this command


cd c:\ "where you have your fastboot"


then type "fastboot getvar cid"


your fastboot should show the cid number eg htc_001

now you can go on and search for your rom. if fastboot showed cid bm_001


here in the list 001 is bell model


i can just google RUU_bravo bm and i will still get good result.

or simply you can put all this 3 files in system32 directory

fastboot.exe
AdbWinApi.dll
AdbWinUsbApi.dll

Now just run Run>CMD execute your desired command

There is some other way exist, but this way also good.

you should have Android folder in your c:


just open cmd and type cd c:\android

and press enter

connect your phone in fastboot mode and type


fastboot devices and press enter

if all is ok you will see a serial number eg ah4155425


then type this fastboot getvar cid to know your cid.

cmd = command prompt


click your computer start menu by down left, in the run space just type cmd and press enter, the black window should open.
