Htc can't boot into firmware upgrade mode - GSM-Forum

I have an HTC Incredible S that got stuck HTC logo, I have downloaded the rom RUU_VIVO_ICS_35_S_TWM_TW_4.10.921.1_Radio_20.74.30 .0833U_3831.18.00.11_M_release_266252_signed to flash it but when the update utility software gets to a point where it has to reboot bootloader of the phone, the phone just reboots into bootloader menu(HBooot/ bootloader home menu), so I tried to update the phone via sdcard so the phone verifies the update and asks me wether I would like to update and I press vol up wich means yes, but it gets stuck at updating bootloader and takes years there til i get impatient, the phone has bootloader locked, and is S-Off and I have the right update rom. What going wrong with the phone??

unlock your device bootloader wipe all data and check
