htc desire a8181 flashing help

i have here htc desire a8181 hangs on startup only htc logo i try to flash it in ruu update ginger on the process like here How to upgrade HTC Desire A8181 to Gingerbread 2.3.3 | Android Addicted

by pressing and holding down volume and power on and release power on to go on recovery menu i connect usb cable to phone and press on to confirm for hboot usb to fastboot usb
when program progress on flashing after dectecting bootloader and reboot nothing happens to flash. how can i flash this w/o disconnecting the unit from pc. always i got error

you are trying to flash in hboot mode instead of fastboot, phone will not be detected in hboot mode.

after pressing volume down and power, phone will go to bootloader, press power button once and ensure you see a display in red fastboot usb, connect to usb cable and try again.

If its s-off try using mmc way to upgrade....

extract the ruu, copy the rom.zip and rename it and copy to your sd card, boot into bootloader and if nothing security is wrong, update will proceed.

download the ruu you want to flash

before you run the ruu

on windows click start and click run

in the space type %temp%

you will see the windows temporally folder



keep it open and note the folders available, you arrange icons by modified so you can know which folder will come new.

leave it open and run the ruu, while the ruu is running it will generate a new folder in the temp folder you are watching, something like ab4gavbdju4473nbd363h3 just open the folder and scroll down you will see a file named rom.zip

just copy it and paste somewhere on your pc because when you close ruu it will disappear. rename the file you copied to PB99IMG.zip

copy to your sd card. make sure dont rename it to rom.zip.zip so make your system show known file extentions.


start phone in bootloader mode and if all is ok update shoul ask you to press volume up to continue.

i can find sir rom.zip in the new created folder when running ruu only disk1 folder and all data is setup.exe and cab file.
