I didnt tested on demo devices yet but yu gve a try

unlock bootloder

write custom recovery

ful wipe system,data,cache

flash stock based custom rom or try cm based rom ..

Yur device has Australian modelid also re on s-off so yu can change modelid.

To flash other region ruu need to change yur modeid to international modelid

Here is the procedure try it 1st

Download latest Europe Ota.zip
Extarct firmware.zip from ota
Flash it via fastboot

fastboot devices
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot

if yu get error 1st time try again aftr flash firmware.zip Download full Europe ruu nd run it make sure htc sync manger not installed in yur pc.

thanx mr...jamesh i flash my htc m8 with arabic custome rom.i flash recovery. 2.7 boot unlock.flash rom all is ok but my device take long time to boot..almost 10 mints to boot.i try to flash new version recovery but after flash recovery device not enter in recovery just hang on recovery ..........please help me.

That's starting first time only take 10 minute boot after that not take time
