Lightbulb HTC ONE FREE SIM Unlock here !

Hello to all,

I have very good news

Here are the simple steps to SIM unlock any HTC ONE .

!!! WARNING !!!

I dont take any responsibility if any process goes wrong, this is FREE method and use it on your own risk !

Also, after this, it may not work on ORIGINAL network!

Please be aware of what you are doing !

You should have root access on your phone, (if you dont know how to do it, please search the forum)

In adb shell or terminal emulator

Type the following commands:

Code:
su

am start com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm.test.TestMainActivity
Select API
Then scroll down and select Simlock

Happy unlocking times

This works on BAD ESN phones as well .

This may work on other HTC devices as well, please post if you succeeded on other devices also .

Credits go to hotaru2k3 who found this method .

With Best Regards,
BB-gsm

So I tried putting adb shell in front of the command as suggested and it replied device not found so my question is can you do this on the phone via a terminal emulator or does it have to be via a pc?

Ok so I realized in my terminal emulator I was already su (hence why when I typed su before the am command it said it couldn't find am) so I typed out the command again without typing su and without typing adb shell in front of it (see my post above) and it gives an error that the activity class doesn't exist. I tried pasting it in this message but the forum thinks it's links and that I do not have enough posts to post a link

Any clue? Am I doing something wrong?

Look at the command that need to be execute and you should see that needs to invoke an application that has HTC name on it, so in any other ROM than stock should not work because of this missing app from HTC.

Luck!

That may be it although the ARHD ROM is based off of stock, however the necessary components I need for the command may have been removed.

Also, over on XDA they stated this would only work on CDMA phones...true?

@ bossko

We have unlocked several ONEs with it, but they all were CDMA network locked, though they are working on GSM/UMTS network after unlock .

Make sure it has stock rom.

I will try on GSM network locked ONE and check in a while .
