M8 unlock bootloader _ not possible

hello all !

be cool for my poor english language

it s the first time i m writing here in Gsm Forum , so if it's the wrong place (or way) tell me ....

so, the facts :

got an M8 from my friend , seems to be M8x (OPB6110 )

after a call to htc customers services, they told me the phone is from Taiwan ...

anyway

so the problem is the following : I can't do ANY RESET of the phone !

_ by FACTORY reset : wrong
_ by restore factory and lose everything : wrong
_ by RECOVERY : wipe cache ..... : wrong

a little sentence was captching my eyes by doin' it in RECOVERY :

"backup preload data" .... and host mode 0 : done
some thing like that

and each time when the phone is rebooting : all my datas are still HERE !!

so I'm wondering : when i m starting phone
with VOL- and POWER , i see : LOCKEd (sure S-ON)
is it possible that this phone is not realy locked

is it possible that the phone has got an "over"-firmware

the problem with HTCDEV metho and HBOOT 3.19 : i can't UNLOCK bootloader !

so no TWRP recovery .... so no backup to flash ....


what do you think of these problem

Yu can unlock al htc devices bootloader using HTC Dev

so tried to unlock with the tool .. and still the same (although htc dev said "success ) )

when reboot the phone shows :

"*** Software status official ... (equal to TAMPERED ??? for hboot 3.19 ?? )
LOCKED ....
"

any idea

After got unlock bin through email did yu send the unlock bin via fastboot?


fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin

got answer "success", but when phone reboots , still locked

just a question : i noticed a new thing in recovery mode :

i went to WIpe Data/factory reset, and i saw two lines with "yes" and others with "no"

the first is "wipe data user" and second "backup data preload"

it's the first time i saw two "yes" lines in a stock recovery

what's the deal ?

Strange,when you get success do you get yes no screen in phone ?
Maybe its hboot issue too,download any latest ota of same carrier and extract that,and flash firmware.zip from that,and retry to unlock bootloader.

When yu se yes or no Did yu select Yes

or else like Rahul_Bhutani said hboot issue write new firmware.zip nd try

i choose YES, phone reboot, and stay on RED TRIANGLE of stock recovery,

wait for 5 minutes, reboot, so i put-off fastboot

go into bootloader and again "LOCKED" !!

i'm gonna try a new firmware .... thank you

I was also facing same problem at M8 but there was a little mistake usb debug was not on so it was creating problem after usb debug on it was unlocked so do carefully

For yur cid unfortunately no files are available

Try any service centers they vil s-off yur device using s-off java card

Den flash vit othr region files .
