I know about higher version, but all new versions install via OTA.
How may reflash phone. On the screen always: android.com error
Hard reset don't help

jamesjerss,me too need the higher version firmware of htc desire 501.
flash the lower version 1.40.707.... and now it just hangs on htc logo and four exclamation marks in four corners.

try with this command may work
