some doubts about htc flash files-help

[zone3]

i saw below flash files for htc each models

1.custom file
2.stock based custom file
3.nandroid backup
4.ruu

i dont know when above will use-when htc set came -try one by one -sometimes set ok-otherwise set reutrn

for which complaint nadroid backup use?
for which complaint ruu use?
when stock based rom use?
when original ruu use?

Well its easy not hard as u thinking
First of all when u get phone...u search for its official firnware.
Incase u dont found official then we search for stock custom...
Stock custom is official but can be install with recovery like cwm twrp.
Ok but also no stock base rom so now we search for nandroid.
Nandroid is flash backup of another working phone..
In last if we not found anything we go for custom...
