best browser i've found NetFront 3.1... dmitryg made an installer that includes maxX (so that its compatible with the DIA). i believe it still had to be hex edited with a small substitution to run on most palms. i have all the files somewhere... i'll try to post them later today.

you might have to hex edit the RESULTING netfront file to get it to run on your palm. at address 164a50, replace 796e6f73 ('ynos') with 6d6c6150 ('mlap').

jamerican has a slightly newer build of the same version available, but i couldn't get it to work with MaxX.

Hey, thanks for that. But when i download that file, firstly the file inside is says "V2" in the filename. anyways, when i load it to my tungsten, the first time it does some loading things, then it restarts, and then when i try running it, it gives me a blank screen which i can only get out of by restarting the pda. So i thought maybe it has something to do with that hex thing you said. I dont know the first thing about hexing, but i downlaoded hex workship but i cant find the address 164a50 on that netfrontInstallerV2.prc file

masterg, don't hex edit the installer file. after you run the installer program on your tungsten, it will reset. there will be a new file on your tungsten called netfront31.prc (or something close to that). that is the file that needs to be hex edited. i know its a bunch of crazy hoops to go through, but it really is an excellent browser with few problems once its running. how much dynamic heap memory does the tungsten have... it might require UDMH to run.

how do i hex a file thats on my tungsten? sorry, i just got this thing and I dont know too much about what UDMH or heap memory is. but it has 64mb ram if thats what your asking

One of the best browsers IMO has to be Web Pro.
Unzip part 1 then part 2. They will make one file

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WIN RAR.

i have to apologize. i have been getting the installation files and their instructions a little confused. dmitryg's version of netfront DOES NOT need to be hex edited to work. run the installer and it is supposed to install everything you need. i have no idea why it is not working for you. i will post the required files soon. if you need any further help after trying the files i post, PM me and i'll try to help. no need to keep dragging this out in the forum. once we come up with something that works, we'll post complete instructions. unless you find another browser that you like before then.
