How to root Android 8.0 with Magisk

Android Oreo is not a simple operating system as we guessed while rooting beta versions of it simply when they released first. So to crack this complicated system you need advanced software. As you all know already how many new operating systems releases people still want to gain root access to them. The main reason is it will allow you to get a lot more benefits than a regular unrooted mobile phone. That's why I'm going to talk about Magisk. Using this tool is not quite simple as other regular rooting tools but we still need to do the job right? so let's find out how to root it.

What is Magisk?

It is an open source rooting management tool that you can use for Android Oreo. There is the APK version for this tool but you should have a rooted device with TWRP recovery to download it. But there is another version of the application called Magisk Manager and it can be downloaded to any kind of Android device even the unrooted ones. You can use both of them in need.

Installing a custom recovery

When you speaking about custom recovery TWRP recovery is the best. it will allow you to safely work with the firmware of the internal system. When you want to root or flash a new firmware this is the tool that creates a safer environment for you. So go to its website and download the recovery tool. Make sure to follow a proper guide of instructions when you install it. If you like you can check the below video about it.

Install Magisk Manager
  1. Go to this website and download the Zip file and the APK from your device.
  2. Then place both on the internal storage of the device.
  3. Boot the device onto the custom recovery mode. This can differ from device to device but usually, press and hold the Volume down button and power button at the same time.
  4. After the recovery mode is on click install button --> browse --> Downloaded zip file --> Swipe to confirm
  5. Now the process will start.
  6. Once it finished reboot the system.
  7. Then go to the file manager and find the APK file you downloaded. Then install it.
  8. Finally, launch the Magisk manager app and check the root status.

Final Verdict

It is true that Android encourages the user to root their device. But yet rooting android Oreo become a kind of a challenging. But with the right tool, you can do anything. Another benefit you will get by using this manager tool is it can hide your root status and download apps that do not run on rooted apps. So use it as you want. Try it first.
