maybe you reheat the parts but not enough just reheat the IC and all the small componets around the connector or resolder every pin of any parts it will work 99.9%. many times i used this method and never been changed any ic and surely it works.....

if you are sure that the trackpad is working, from the trackpad connector there is small parts around on it just resolder it. and it will work again.

i had same prob even after change of trackpad worked for some time n stoped i removed d trackpad n put wd40 on d connecter ic n components near by looked like a moisture prob 2me but d phone came back after 2month did d same n gave it back
