8520 track pad melts !!


one BB 8520 , its trackpad heats up and melts..please help

Change the IC that placed upper right side of the trackpad connector.

Many solutions available

@jwith,

There's alot of solutions and fixes for 8520 track pad issues, I suggest you read through the solutions already posted on the board, and find the schematics and do some research yourself as well.

To get you kicked off, you can find solutions for 8520 trackpad here here here and here just to mention a few of them.

All these threads are pointing towards trackpad connector and nearby ic. Two of them are not solving the problem. I think over currend is flowing through the track pad. Anybody know related parts ?
